With a process using the unique StoneMakers materials we create retaining walls, walkways, edgings, seating walls and waterfeatures using solid monolithic concrete. Then these are hand carved and stained to give you the look and feel of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. This process makes the concrete extremely strong and durable. We achieve PSI ratings of 10-12000 compared to the average block wall with a rating of 1800 psi. With full frost protection footings and rebar throughout, you will not find a stronger retaining wall. The history of retaining walls is pretty much like this: first we had only natural stone, very expensive and labor intensive. Then came railroad ties and landscape timbers which save a lot in up front costs, but are limited in design and only last 10-15 years. After that the block walls were brought around and have been the best solution until now. The block walls sit on a bed of gravel, and are held in place with plastic pins. When the ground shifts in the winter, so does your wall. Block walls are also limited in design and colors. Now it is easy to see the benefits of the StoneMakers walls.
